Who CISA is
CISA, standing for Costruzioni Italiane Serrature e Affini, is an Italian firm founded in Florence in 1926 by Luigi Bucci. That same year it patented one of the first electrically operated locks, an advance that drove the evolution of access control on doors and gates. Since 1948, its headquarters have been in Faenza, Emilia-Romagna.

The Astral Tekno Pro family uses the patented BKP system against bumping, ten case-hardened steel pins, two lateral control pins and anti-pick counter-pistons. Its offset cam helps to improve resistance to extraction, and the body incorporates a controlled-break zone.
The flat, reversible keys are supplied with a Security Card to request authorised duplicates. Installing and maintaining the cylinder
Before fitting, you have to measure from the central screw to both sides of the cylinder, including the escutcheon and fittings. The cylinder should not protrude excessively, because it would be more exposed to extraction attacks. It is also important to confirm whether a 15 mm cam, a short cam, a double clutch or a model with a thumbturn is needed.
If the key turns with difficulty, the cylinder has play, the bolts do not slide in smoothly or signs of tampering are observed, it is advisable to check the installation. Use lubricants specific to locks and avoid greasy products that accumulate dirt. After a loss of keys, a change of tenant or an attempted break-in, it is worth considering changing the cylinder with a locksmithing professional.
